Originating in Mexico, Día de los Muertos is a ritual dating back 3000 years. It is a two-day festival for family and friends to come together to honour and celebrate the lives of their loved ones who have passed away. Their belief is that at midnight on October 31, the spirits of loved ones can come down to enjoy the festivities that are prepared especially for them.
Please join us at the Centre to celebrate the lives of our loved ones. Please bring a photo of your child, sibling, or grandchild to pin up on the garlands around the room (note not in a frame). Please also a plate of their favourite food to share.
Enjoy a glass or two of Sangria on us and experience a different culture’s way of honouring their loved ones. Note this event is for Members of TCFV only.
