DESCRIPTION:Melbourne ‘Suicide Awareness Community Walk’ on World Suicide Prevention Day\, also known as Out of the Shadows. \nIf you wish to please register and fill out your loved one’s name if you wish them to be included on the Memorial Roll. \nThis event is a collaboration between Support After Suicide\, The Compassionate Friends Victoria and Lifeline Melbourne. \nThe details are below: \n\nWhat?       Out of the Shadows Walk\, on World Suicide Prevention Day\nWhen?      Sunday 8 September\, 9am-11am\nWhere?     Flagstaff Gardens\, Lawn 7 (309-311 William St\, West Melbourne VIC 3003)\n\nThis event includes a short 1km walk around Flagstaff Gardens\, a ribbon-tying ceremony\, an opportunity to gather\, connect and contemplate\, and a reading of the Memorial Roll. We know that many events will have a full 9km walk\, to recognise the nine people a day who are lost to suicide. If you would like to complete for a full 9km walk\, you are welcome to continue with additional laps of the route around Flagstaff Gardens. \nTo register and participate in this event please click on the link below.
