Co-ordinator Volunteers:
(Groups, Magazine, Library, Phone Friends)
Part time 19 hours per week
An opportunity exists for a person with excellent
organisational, administrative and co-ordination skills
to join our small team.
The Co-ordinator Volunteers: (Groups, Magazine,
Library, Phone Friends) is responsible for the development
of The Compassionate Friends Volunteer program, implementing
and co-ordinating the program at a state level in accordance
The Compassionate Friends role as a Mutual Support Self
Help bereaved parent, sibling and grandparents service provider.
This involves administering, recruiting, developing
and retaining sufficient numbers of skilled volunteers to
resource TCF's Support Groups, Parents Magazine, Sibling
Newsletter, Library & Phone Friends along with co-ordinating
these services. Ensuring that our Grief Information and
Resources are up to date is also part of this role.

Demonstrated experience in recruitment, assessment
and training co-ordination & supervision of volunteers

Experience working in the bereavement and/or not for
profit sectors

Excellent planning, organisational, administration
skills

Drive and ability to encourage, support and work with
a team including volunteers, staff, professionals &
bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents

Highly confident in the use of Computer, including
of Microsoft office programs, database, Internet &
email

Commitment to mutual support - self help principles
-
Able to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, organise
work and achieve objectives within time lines.

Able to develop and activate effective and efficient
processes & procedures

Experience as a bereaved parent or sibling well regarded
-
Vocational training in a relevant discipline or demonstrated
experience in a community development or similar position
highly regarded.

Current Victorian Driver's Licence and car
- Travel on occasions throughout Victoria
